April 15-16: BioSpiritual Focusing in Spiritual Direction and Pastoral Care Ministries: an Educational Series

Designed for spiritual directors and pastoral ministers, this program is designed to provide an introduction to Focusing from a BioSpiritual perspective in order to help companion others on their spiritual journeys.

There will be multiple opportunities to Focus with instructors and fellow students.

This program begins with a weekend initial training April 15-16 followed by three day-long trainings in May, June and Sept 2016.

Sessions will be held at the Holy Family Retreat Center in West Hartford CT.

Registration is now open and the cost is $900 or $850 if paid by April 15.

Joseph Colletti M.Div, S.T. M., M.Ed., CFT

Joe Colletti is a certified focusing trainer and a Board Member of the Institute for BioSpiritual Focusing Research.  He is a spiritual director associated with the Spiritual Life Center of West Hartford, CT.  His writings on spiritual direction have been published in Presence Magazine, a journal of Spiritual Directors International (SDI).  He has made presentations on BioSpiritual Focusing at the SDI International Conference as well as offering the first BioSpiritual Focusing webinar sponsored by SDI.  He is also directly involved with the strategic planning efforts of the Focusing Institute.

Joe has published books on grief and loss as well as leaving a spiritual legacy.  In addition he is the creator and webmaster for an interfaith website developed under the auspices of the Arthur Vining Davis Foundations and Hartford Seminary.  He is currently involved in the development of an advanced education program on BioSpiritual Focusing and its applications for Spiritual Direction and Pastoral Care.

Roberta Whitney, MA

Roberta Whitney is a Spiritual Director in Andover and Arlington, MA and a part-time Spiritual Care Director at a 120-bed assisted care facility.  Higher education includes a Masters of Arts from the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Arts from Smith College.  Integrating knowledge gained over more than twelve years through certification as a Focusing Professional, Spiritual Director, Enneagram Professional, Yoga Instructor, RYT 500 hr., and Authentic Movement Facilitator, Roberta offers unique whole body approaches to health and well-being.
