As a part of the HEALING TOOLBOX series led by Marek Tresnak, LMHC
Do you want to be more in tune with your feelings?
Do you want to become more aware of what your body is telling you in this present moment?
Focusing increases our sense of self awareness and confidence. It allows us to be more present and therefore relaxed.
When: Sunday, May 28, 1 – 5 pm Where: White Barn Studio, 20 Dickinson St, AmherstCost: $ 30
Come and learn this effective method to tune into your body, identify what it needs and gain a deeper insight into the somatic wisdom. Focusing is a method of attending to our inner process in order to unlock a deep knowing that is in our body. This method was developed by Eugene Gendlin, close co-worker of Carl Rogers. It was designed to help people become better clients in therapy, by teaching them to access directly their momentary experience. In this 4 hour workshop we will learn how to:
Clear our inner space
Make an inventory of our upsets
Identify emotions directly in our body
Listen to them with compassion and acceptance
Ask them the right questions
Express them through art
Marek Tresnak, LMHC, has over 11 years of experience working as a therapist and certified Focusing trainer. He has also an extensive training in Internal Family Systems.
